Jul 21,  · To play arco jazz, with all the dynamics, inflections, and freedom of a horn is something that I have only heard Terry do (and I have heard a lot of jazz bass). So, I am trying to say that while "Blue and Green" came out just last year, Plumeri developed his whole concept before Moore and Rabbath made their respective arco jazz bass contributions.

Konitz, heard here on tenor has a warm, reedy, breathy sound. His concept works well on the bigger horn and the approach is not as angular as some of his alto work. I don't know what Lee's tenor would sound like live, with a drummer, but here it is unique and beautiful. This is a great duo record, with an occasional Michael Moore bass foundation.5/5(1).
  9. Taugul says:
Moore also plays in Jewels and Binoculars, a collective trio with bassist Lindsey Horner and drummer Michael Vatcher which is devoted to interpretations of Bob Dylan songs. In , Moore won the VPRO/Boy Edgar Award, the most prestigious jazz award in the Netherlands. In , he founded Ramboy Records to document his music.
